Maranta
Maranta plant is commonly known as “Prayer Plant” that is an indoor house plant. Maranta plant belongs from family of “Marantaceae” and scientific name of this plant is “Maranta leuconeura”. It is a flowering plant, which is blooming from late Spring to early Summer. Leaves of this plant are dark or light green colored and red colored shade or line in green color. It blooms blue or violet colored flowers.
Maranta plant is very sophisticated plant that needs proper caring and maintenance for its healthy growth. This plant loves indirect sunlight, so it prefers shade; direct sunlight can be harmful for its healthy growing. Temperature ‘between 15°C to 32°C’ is acceptable by this plant, but for its well growth temperature ‘between 20°C to 25°C’ is preferable. With good drainage system, moist soil is preferable for this plant. It needs soil keep moist all time, for moist soil regular watering twice or trice in growing time must be need. But standing water is harmful for this plant growth and also dry soil can be cause of die of this plant. In Maranta plants growing time, fertilizing by poor liquid fertilizer is preferable for this plant growth; either it must not need regular fertilize in non growing time of Winter.
