Kentia Palm

Kentia Palm is a flowering plant that is scientifically known as “Howea forsteriana” and commonly known as “Thatch Palm” and “Kentia Palm”; this plant belongs from “Howea” genus and family of “Arecaceae”. It is slow growing palm plant that helps to decorate indoor, outdoors etc so it is known as ornamental plant.

This type of palm plant needs indirect bright sunlight; it does not tolerate direct sunlight. It needs potting mix soil that must be well drained. Watering once in a week in Summer season is essential for this plants growth. Standing watering is harmful for this plant. This plant requires warm temperature; in Winter season, minimum 12°C temperature is acceptable for this plants growth. Liquid fertilizer once in a week in Summer season is preferable for this plant growth.
