A type of bonsai plant Chinese Elm plant belongs from family of “Ulmaceae” and scientific name of this plant is “Ulmus parvifolia”, which is commonly known as “Lacebark Elm”. It is also semi-evergreen plant and it is also know as “umbrella elm” as its common name. This plant is a flowering and fruit plant that is blooming in season of Spring and seeds are ripening in early Summer. This plant is especially used for make furniture. This plant has many medicinal usages; this plant is used for treatment of fever, kidney stone and many kidney problems etc. Its leaves and fruits are used in cooking.
This plant can grow indoors as well as outdoors. Frost or very cool weather is harmful for this plant growth. Cold weather can damage this plants root. This plant can grow in outdoors or indoor, i.e. it prefers both full direct sunlight and shade or indirect sunlight. It requires medium sunlight for its healthy growth. If it absorbs direct sunlight in long time, it can be damaged. It prefers moist soil for its healthy growth. Regular watering is preferable but excess watering is harmful for this plant growth. Moderate fertilizing is preferable ffor this plant growth.
